You decided to learn Russian, but don't know what should you do first. Knowing how difficult it may be, we decided to give you some advices to make your learning easier. Even though, there is no the only recipe for perfection and everyone has his or her own learning strategies, following these basic steps you will build necessary foundation, which eventually could be complemented by your own features.
Starting your journey make a clear plan. Decide what exactly you want to succeed, how far you want to go. Don't try to complicate your learning, don't move to the next step if you are not ready for it. At the same time pay attention to your own preferences, never ignore them. Eventually you will get the same result, translating Putin's speech, Pushkin's poem, script of a reality show or anecdotes - choose one you would enjoy more.
First step – learn Russian alphabet
